How to pull off Denim on Denim look

Hey guys! Denim on denim look(or double denim look) has been in trend for over a decade now and we still can’t get enough of it. This trend makes you look effortlessly stylish by making you look simple and chic at the same time. Even though to pull off a denim on denim look seems really simple but if done in a wrong way it could turn out to be a fashion faux pas. Here are a few tips to help you out:-

1. If you are new to this trend, then start off by pairing different shades of denim together.
2. If you want to opt for similar shades of denim then do try to have one of the denim piece with exciting details like pearl embellishments or fur accents.
3. A really common mistake that most people make is they get dresses from head to toe in denim. Keep your denim confined to your clothing only and don’t wear denim accessories or denim shoes with it.
4. You can also break up your double denim by wearing classics like white t-shirt or  black tank top.
5. Wearing some bold shoes, layering up neckpieces or wearing a a blazer of different fabric- these are some methods to add some bling to the overall ensemle.

The Wedding Dress Inspiration

Wedding season is on and we all are busy finding the perfect outfit for every function. We end up spending hours taking screenshots of what we think would be a perfect ensemble for a particular function. So to make it easy for you here is a list of dresses by the top designers of India, for giving you an idea of how you can get your clothes designed or what to look for while shopping.

1. CAPES AND JACKETS-

Capes and jackets have been the effortless cover ups and the two trendiest fashion statements of this season which can convert your simple and even solid colored outfit into something fun. Use an ethnic cape or jacket over your gowns or wear them over your lehnga for a fusion look.

2. SAREE WITH A TWIST-

Wear a neutral colored saree and use more patterned and sequined blouses with it to add more drama to the your saree. Experiment with your blouse and the way of draping your sarees. You can also use sheer jackets and capes over your sarees too and they’ll add to the charm.

3. VELVET AND FLARES-

Pair up velvet embroidered kurtis with flared skirts if you want to try out something different this year. Flared skirts with embroidered kurtis can look great for other wedding functions.

4. MULTI-PANELLED LEHENGA AND FLARED SAREE

If you want to go the full on traditional way, you can still style your outift by choosing the right kind of prints on it. Choose a lehenga that has panels on it with different kind of print on each of them instead of the one that has a consistent print all over it.

Hey everyone!! So, this time I decided to discuss about two completely different topics in one post-

1. How to convert your vest into a dress
2. How to style a floral dress

Vest is a classy fashion piece that can convert your ordinary outfits into a super stylish ensemble. And long vests are undoubtedly the most versatile piece of clothing that can go well with almost anything. You can use it in so many different ways. Here, I’ve used my floral vest to style it as a dress. You can pair up your simple tank top or a sleeveless top with the vest and button it up. You can also use a solid colored dress beneath the vest. Try to have either a printed vest or a printed dress/top that you’ve worn beneath the vest.

Every girl owns a floral print dress or a top. But the main concern is how to style florals. A little tip on what kind of florals to buy – if you are slim to average then opt for larger floral prints, they go with petite body types but if you are average to large then go for the smaller ones. Since floral dresses are on their own so attractive and catchy, accessorizing a floral dress can be tricky. Instead of statement jewellery, opt for more delicate and simple jewellery . Select a bag that matches the most prominent color in your dress. I’ve used this candy apple red colored bag with flowers on it which perfectly suits my outfit. You can break up the consistent pattern with a belt or scarf too.

Your not so basic SHIRT

 

Hey lovelies! I absolutely love the part where I can tranform an item of clothing that I already own by just making a few changes here and there. So this time i thought why not style something which can be found safely tucked away in the back of every woman’s closet until they’re needed – a button down shirt. These shirts aren’t meant only for some specific days, they can be styled for different occasions according to your need. I got this navy blue polka-dot shirt instead of the regular white one to show that these styles will look great on any shirt you possess. Here the three ways of how i styled this shirt according to three different occasions-

This is the best look for those days when you have your office parties where you want to look bit formal as well as fashionable. Front-knot your shirt and then pair it up with culottes or pants or with a pair of wide legged trousers. This is a great way to accentuate your waist instead of the usual tucking in technique. The stud earrings, apricot colored handbag and the white pumps gave the finishing touch. I will recommend an updo hairstyle for a more collected look and to accentuate the details. The overall outfit gives away vintage vibe and truth be told, I’m totally in love this look! Super elegant and chic isn’t it??

Wearing a button down shirt backward has been a huge trend internationally! All the fashionistas out there have been drooling over this trend. You can either tie a sweet bow or keep the last three buttons closed and the rest open. Also you can button-up the collar and keep the rest open. Wear a bralette under it to add some bling to the outfit. You can pair this up with jeans or flared skirts. This look can be worn for a date night with your girl gang. I wore dangles with this ensemble to complete the look. Don’t leave your hair open, instead opt for a messy knot or a half bun. Best part about this look is you can even try this out with oversized shirts and it will look perfect.

The last look is pretty much for your vacation days. This shirt can be worn in a super fun way at your trips. The off-shoulder shirts continue to be popular and are easier to create using your normal shirts. Pair them up with shorts or capris and put on your sneakers. Perfect combination of elegant and fun. Tip : Keep some part of your shirt tucked in to give it a more stylish look.

The Athleisure look

Hey guys! The athleisure look has been in trend for a long time now. It is a mix of practical and stylish- just take a pure functional and athletic purpose item and add a fashionable twist to it and voila!! You have a perfect ensemble for yourself which you can wear anywhere.

In this post I’ve experimented with my sweatpants to get two looks-

I tried to keep my first look really casual. You can choose a proper fitting t-shirt or a tank top. You can even design your plain t-shirt or tank top like i did by self-printing. To add some drama to the outfit, layer it up with a shirt or a denim jacket. Throw on a pair of sneakers to complete the look.

 

For my second look I paired my sweatpants with this black cropped sweater. Choose a crop top for a more chic and stylish look. To add some bling to the outfit add a pair of wedges and a clutch.

 

Since the key is to not go overboard, keep the jewelry and makeup as simple as you can for both the looks. This trend can be really useful for the days when you aren’t in the mood to put on those skinny jeans.
